Sell 100 SOL worth of tokens: 1 SOL fee = 99 SOL received
Transaction Fees:
Solana network fee (~0.000005 SOL per transaction)
Negligible compared to trading fees
What is slippage and how do I adjust it?
What is Slippage?
Slippage is the difference between the expected price and actual execution price.
Causes:
Price movement during transaction
Low liquidity
High volatility
Large trade size relative to liquidity
Slippage Settings
Default: 5% (good for most trades)
Adjust Based On:
1-3%: High liquidity, stable tokens
5-10%: Normal trades, moderate volatility
10-20%: New tokens, high volatility, large trades
How to Adjust
Click settings/gear icon
Find "Slippage Tolerance"
Enter percentage or use presets
Confirm changes
Balance Required:
Too low = transaction may fail
Too high = you might get worse price
Adjust based on urgency and market conditions
Why did my transaction fail?
Common Causes & Solutions
1. Insufficient Slippage
Cause: Price moved more than allowed slippage
Solution: Increase slippage to 10-15%
2. Insufficient SOL
Cause: Not enough SOL for trade + fees
Solution: Ensure you have extra SOL for fees
3. Network Congestion
Cause: Solana network busy
Solution: Wait a moment and retry
4. Insufficient Balance
Cause: Trying to sell more than you own
Solution: Check actual token balance
5. Token Price Changed
Cause: High volatility
Solution: Increase slippage or wait for stability
How does the bonding curve work?
Basic Concept
The bonding curve is an automated market maker that:
Sets prices based on supply/demand
Provides instant liquidity
Increases price with each buy
Decreases price with each sell
Price Mechanics
When You Buy:
Price increases slightly
More expensive for next buyer
Automatic price adjustment
No manual intervention needed
When You Sell:
Price decreases slightly
Cheaper for next buyer
Immediate execution
Always liquid
Graduation to Raydium
Threshold: ~63,000 SOL market cap
What Happens:
Token migrates to Raydium DEX
Liquidity is burned permanently
Becomes fully decentralized
Creator receives rewards
Continues trading on Raydium
Can I set limit orders?
Currently: No limit orders available
How Trading Works:
All trades execute immediately at current price
Based on bonding curve pricing
No order book system
No pending orders
Workarounds:
Monitor prices manually
Use price alerts (if available)
Set personal buy/sell targets
Check regularly for desired prices
What's the minimum/maximum I can trade?
Minimum Trades
No Strict Minimum, but consider:
Transaction fees (not worth trading dust amounts)
Price impact on small liquidity tokens
Practical minimum: 0.01 SOL or more
Maximum Trades
No Strict Maximum, but be aware:
Large trades have bigger price impact
May need higher slippage
Consider splitting large orders
Check available liquidity
Best Practices
Start small to test platform
Increase position size gradually
Don't risk more than you can afford
Consider dollar-cost averaging for large positions
